A word about this debut album called Vampire Weekend...Sheer Delight!
Listening to this album is like strolling down the Champs-Elysees, eating ice cream, in a yellow cotton dress with ruffles.
Or, if you are a boy, like strolling down the Champs-Elysees, eating ice cream, wearing a yellow silk beret and a matching tie.
The Champs-Elysees is a street in Paris that is said to be magic. I have never been there, but one day it is my ardent hope to visit it.
The point is, you are in Paris, and all your senses are delighted, and you are delighting everyone else. That is what listening to this album is like.
What kind of ice cream you are eating is entirely up to you.
