Thinking of Finn

Finn is not a baby anymore, but when he was, it was such a pleasure to rock him, that I would hold him long after he was asleep. I made up this song, and sang it to him when he was tiny. Babies don't last very long, but maybe that is what makes them so precious.

Lullaby for Finn

Sailors ride sailboats
Across the deep blue
Wise men ride camels
Under the moon

Babies in cradles, sleeping so softly
Slumber, slumber, slumber sweet baby til daylight awakes you
Slumber, slumber, slumber sweet baby, you'll be watched over
Slumber, slumber, slumber sweet baby til daylight is here

Shepherds watch flocks
On faraway hills
Moonbeams drift down over
Blueberry fields

Babies in cradles, sleeping so softly
Slumber, slumber, slumber sweet baby til daylight awakes you
Slumber, slumber, slumber sweet baby, you'll be watched over
Slumber, slumber, slumber sweet baby til daylight is here.

Awwww! That's so sweet. You'll have to sing it to Maya. :)
